A Unique 45 Minute Match in Argentina

The match between Arsenal Sarandi and Olimpo in the Argentina Primera Division earlier this month was postponed at half-time due to heavy rain.  With the match level at 0-0, the referee decided enough was enough and the pitch become waterlogged,  so he decided to keep the players off the field in the second half.

Rather than re-start the match, the Argentina Football Federation have decided to continue the match from 0-0 and play only the remaining second half of the game. More Info under www.online-betting.org.

This is an unusual situation for both the players and fans alike.  The match will start level, with no goals as would normally be the case but there will only be 45 minutes to play, rather than the full 90 minutes.

Arsenal Sarandi Form

Arsenal Sarandi come into this match sitting bottom of the Argentina Primera Division, with 17 points from their 25 matches played.

It’s been a disappointing campaign to date and the club have managed to pick up just 4 wins from their 25 league games.  There was further misery last week, as Arsenal Sarandi were dumped out of the Copa Argentina by Primera C team Sacachispas on penalties.

A league defeat at home to Lanus followed and the momentum from their 3 wins earlier this month, has now disappeared.  Arsenal Sarandi have won 2 of their 12 home league games this season.

Olimpo Form

Things were looking bad for Olimpo earlier this season, as they struggled to pick up wins.  Just 2 wins from their first 12 Argentina Primera games saw them hovering dangerously around the relegation zone.

Having picked up 2 wins from their next 4 games, things started to look more promising and the club have managed to win 3 of their last 5 league games, a run of form which has lifted them up the table.

However, despite having won 7 league matches this season, only 2 of those wins have come away from home.  One of those victories came at Racing Club, who currently sit in 8th place and Olimpo have recently upset 5th place Estudiantes, by defeating them 2-0 at home.

Team News

With this match restarting at half-time, the teams should remain as they were from the first 45 minutes.

However, the teams can make substitutes as would normally be the case during any match and if a player has picked up an injury since the first attempt of playing this game, he can be removed from the team and replaced by another player.

Top Betting Tips

This match will resume at 0-0 and as such, the teams may struggle to build any momentum in the game.  A point would be a decent result for Olimpo given their position in the league, so the 0-0 final score at 3/1 with Bet365 makes a good bet.

Arsenal Sarandi have failed to score in 3 of their last 4 home league games, whereas Olimpo have netted 7 times in their last 3 games on the road.  Therefore, if one team is to break the deadlock, you must back Olimpo.

Lootz.Bet offer 13/5 for Olimpo to win the match by a single goal and you can get 5/1 for them to win the match 1-0. The full review here.
